Seconds please…

'Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all.'
Harriet Van Horne
And this is how we feel about it at TerraNova Homes & Care. We are getting very serious about the entire dining experience we offer our wonderful residents; it’s all about …the taste, the environment, the choices, the companionship.
West Harbour Gardens residents have been trialing our new Fresh is Best approach to food service and they are truly delighted with the results. We have succeeded in making the dining experience a true highlight of every day for our residents through a new focus on the food, the presentation, the service, and the dining atmosphere.
When you compare some of the dishes from an old and new menu at West Harbour Gardens, you’ll not be surprised that residents are asking for ‘seconds please …’ and their families are eyeing the new food with great envy,
Old menu
Roast lamb & gravy with kumara, pumpkin, mixed vegetables & courgettes
Shepherds Pie with mashed kumara, broccoli, beetroot & peas
Crumbed schnitzel with gratin potatoes, beans, carrots & silverbeet
New Menu

Our Group Food Services Manager is in the process of rolling this out to other sites within the TerraNova Homes & Care group and already we’re hearing contented murmurs from the diners.
